[EN] A logo, even though it is not the brand identity of an organisation or business in itself, is the main pillar and inspiration around it. A well-designed logo should combine typographic and graphic elements in such a way that it both expresses the personality of the organisation and, on the other hand, attracts the target audience.
We redesigned the visual identity of the Athenian Classic Marathon, starting with a special emphasis on form, mark and typography, as we believe that the organisation's existing logo is lacking in these elements.
In the logo we have created, the initials "M" and "A" from the "Athens Marathon" have been chosen applied to the classical Greek circular cross-section columns in order to emphasise the Greek element of the organisation as well as its place of birth.
As for the typography, we chose the font "Gill Sans Hellenic STD" keeping in mind that its tone transforms the entire creative into something powerful and imposing.
